Welcoming committee members Michelle Daley, Fatima Iftikhar and Josetta Malcolm

We're pleased to welcome Michelle Daley, Fatima Iftikhar and Josetta Malcolm to our Rights and Justice committee.

Michelle (pictured left) is a disability justice activist, involved in various social justice spaces. As the director of the Alliance for Inclusive Education, a national Disabled People's Organisation, Michelle campaigns for the end of systems that segregate and marginalise Disabled people from mainstream experiences.

Fatima (pictured centre) is the programme director at People's Economy, prior to this she worked in the communities and social policy team at the Greater London Authority. With wide-ranging experience across education, policy, campaigning, community building and racial justice organising, she brings a special interest and knowledge in economic systems change and its intersection with different social movements.

Josetta (pictured right) is an equity, diversity and inclusion trainer, consultant and doctoral researcher, with a background in mental health support, yoga, mindfulness and wellbeing. They bring thirty years of experience supporting vulnerable and marginalised people, working in grassroots communities, charities and the public sector in roles spanning volunteer to senior management and trustee.

They join other Rights and Justice 'co-optees' Fidelis Chebe, Tanzil Chowdhury and Kavian Kulasabanathan. The committee is also formed of staff members  Lena Mohamed, Jilna Shah, Farah AlHaddad and Azeem Lateef and trustees Fatima Rajina and Huw Davies.

In 2023, the Rights and Justice committee made grants totalling more than £2.6 million. You can read more about the programme here.
