JRCT is governed by a board of voluntary trustees. As well as setting overall strategy, the trustees make all grant decisions.
There are currently 13 trustees and 1 prospective trustee who is 'sitting-in' - women and men with a wide age range and from a variety of backgrounds. All trustees are members of the Religious Society of Friends (also known as Quakers).
All applications and enquiries should be made to the Trust office, not to individual trustees.
All final grant offers are made by the Trust board, but much of the detailed work of the Trust is carried out through grant-making committees of four or five trustees with a particular interest in the area of work. Most committees also co-opt non-trustee members who bring additional expertise and wisdom to our decision making.
The Trust has a small team of four full-time and ten part-time staff.
