Nancy is a Mexican human rights lawyer who migrated to the UK in 2022. She been involved with grassroots movements, NGO’s and international human rights organisations for almost a decade with a focus on the rights of people deprived of their liberty, people with disabilities and women in the Latin-American region.
She holds a bachelor's degree in law and an LLM in law and social justice from the University of Leeds. Nancy has a personal and academic interest in exploring ‘the right to care’ within the Latin-American context which is rooted in life experience.
Coming from the big Mexican northern state of Chihuahua, she is a Chihuahua dog lover. Nancy also enjoys graphic novels and animated movies. She has a sweet tooth and enjoys baking as a hobby and therapy.
