Helen’s cross-sector career spans three decades, specialising in change, governance, human rights, equality and strategy.
She joined JRCT in June 2024, having previously worked as as interim executive director of Aidsmap. She is currently vice-chair of the board for Amnesty International UK, and a trustee at the Civil Liberties Trust and the Global Legal Action Network.
Helen has held senior roles at POhWER, Marie Curie and Stonewall.
Helen is an outspoken campaigner and advocate for human rights, inclusion and equality, anti-racism, disability and health rights, mental health awareness, and the LGBTQI+ community.
She is the founder of the Gender Justice UK Campaign and has served as a civil society volunteer activist for 34 years.
Helen holds a master’s degree in Finance from the City University of New York, a bachelor’s degree in Creative Studies from Hofstra University, and is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in International Affairs at King’s College London.
