Celia McKeon has stepped down as Chief Executive

It is with regret that we share the news that Celia McKeon has decided to step down as Chief Executive, for family reasons.

Having previously worked at JRCT from 2009-2016, Celia rejoined the Trust as Chief Executive in September 2019. During her tenure, which coincided with the exceptional challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, Celia led the Trust in making important contributions to tackling the root causes of conflict and injustice. Working with staff and trustees, she:

- Increased the Trust's annual grant-making by one third, in line with JRCT's ten-year strategy

- Devised and oversaw delivery of a special additional programme of grant-making in response to the Covid-19 pandemic

- Led ground-breaking work to engage with the Trust's colonial history

- Led work to devolve power within and beyond the organisation, changing the Trust deed to facilitate this

We are grateful to Celia for everything she has contributed to JRCT's work, and wish her well in the future.
